Indestructible infrastructure.

Bitcoin block headers are distributed across multiple platforms to ensure permanent availability. Each mirror is independently verifiable - headers are authenticated by proof-of-work, not by trust in any single host.

Primary

GitHub Pages

Primary CDN. Fast, reliable, globally distributed.

Live

Git Mirrors

GitHub Raw

Direct access to repository files.

Live

Nostr ngit

Git repository distributed across Nostr relays. Censorship-resistant.

Planned

Content-Addressed

IPFS

Content-addressed storage. Fetch from any IPFS gateway.

Planned

Nostr Blossom

Blob storage on Nostr. Native to the Nostr ecosystem.

Planned

Permanent Storage

Arweave

Pay once, stored forever. Truly permanent archival.

Planned

Filecoin

Incentivized IPFS. Storage deals with guaranteed uptime.

Planned

Internet Archive

The world's library. Historical preservation.

P2P Distribution

WebTorrent

Browser-native P2P. Users who download become seeders.

Bitcoin Full Nodes

Direct P2P protocol or RPC API. The authoritative source.

Live

REST APIs from block explorers. Easy integration, widely available.

Verification

Headers are self-verifying via proof-of-work. Any mirror can be validated:

1. Each header's hash meets the difficulty target

2. Each header references the previous header's hash

3. Chain forms continuous proof-of-work from genesis

4. Compare against multiple sources

5. If any source lies, the math breaks

You don't trust mirrors. You verify headers.

"To destroy these headers, you would need to simultaneously take down GitHub, all Nostr relays, the IPFS network, Filecoin miners, Arweave's permanent storage, and the Internet Archive. The data is protected by redundancy, economics, and mathematics."
